Here are our top tips to create your perfect wax seal stamps. If you are new to the world of wax seals, we hope these tips will help grow your confidence when creating your first batch of wax seals. If you have some experience creating wax seals, we hope you learn something new!
Use a
low temperature hot glue gun with our sealing wax sticks. If you already have a hot glue gun, make sure it has a low temp setting. (Ideal temperature is between 105-110 degrees Fahrenheit)
Use ice to cool your wax stamp in between each wax seal, to prevent your seal from sticking to your stamp.
Making multiple seals at the same time? Use parchment paper or a silicone mat (typically used for baking or cooking) when sealing your stamps. The wax seals will easily come off and can be placed on your stationary with double sided adhesive. It will look like you stamped the seal directly to your envelope!
Experiment different pouring methods when using a sealing wax spoon. Pouring your sealing wax in a perfect circle will achieve a modern look, while pouring an irregular/random circular shape will create a more organic look.
Have fun! Creating wax seals is truly therapeutic, and an art form in itself. No two wax seals are exactly the same, and that's the beauty of it. Embrace your art.
